Detailing is a process of keeping your vehicle appearance as close to showroom condition as possible. Our aim is to have your vehicle looking the way it did when you drove it off the lot.
Detailing is not just cleaning, it's improving. For example, detailing doesn't just wipe the dash, it finds the dust in every groove and cranny. Every surface that is cleaned is also polished or buffed. It's the 'detail' that makes the service different from a routine clean.
We recommend that our premium package is bought at least once a year and value package every 2-3 months for optimal freshness of your vehicle.
Detailing increases your car resale value and appearance and expands the overall life of your vehicle.
Detailing also depends on the wear and tear and your expectations of how you want your vehicle to look. For example, if you frequently travel with your pets, you would want get your vehicle detailed more often so that it doesn't get smelly.
It is best to remove any valuables, gear, bags, car seats and other stuff from your vehicle so we can get straight to the job.
Stain removal of substances such as hot or cold drinks, oil, paint etc. can be difficult to remove. Shampooing alone, can not usually remove them as they require specialised chemicals designed for specific types of stains. It is a specialty service and therefore does incur an additional charge. Shampooing that is offered in our premium package means removal of spots and dirty marks that can be removed by standard steam cleaning rather than the heavy duty stains.
A cut and polish is a common term to refer to paint correction. The "Cut" is about removing scratches & marks from the paintwork, whilst "Polish" is about restoring gloss. A cut and polish is a fantastic way to permanently remove wear and damage and restore the vehicle’s appearance. If a sealant or ceramic coating is applied to damaged and weathered paint it simply won’t perform very well or last very long. So a cut and polish can also be a vital step before applying ceramic coating to a vehicle.
It depends on the condition and size of the vehicle and services requested. Our value package can take anywhere between 4-5 hours whereas any add-ons to it can increase the time it takes to detail your vehicle. We will let you know when we provide you a quote (we can do this online if you send is photos).
An additional layer will make the whole protection more durable, give a better depth of colour and stronger shine. It also maximises the hydrophobic properties giving you peace of mind, especially if your vehicle is not always parked under cover. It should also last longer, between 3-4 years.
Coating maintenance can be broken down into two simple steps:
1. Routine washing is recommended every week if possible. Since a coating is applied, it is not recommended to polish or refinish the surface. This means not allowing the car to sit dirty for extended periods of time, for example, after an offroading trip.
2. Use a microfiber cloth to dry and cut down on swirl marks cutting into your car’s finish. That's it!
